Development Services Coordinator

The City of Grimes seeks someone with office and project management acumen and building and development services experience to help build a new Development Services department in one of the fastest growing cities in the metro. The Development Services Coordinator is responsible for all clerical, project management, and customer service work performed in the Development Services Department, particularly as it pertains to managing all workflow of permits, inspections, development submissions, and other department activity. The Development Services Coordinator will receive and process permit applications, manage the files and workflow for all department business, and support the building inspectors, Building Official, and Development Services Director. Additional projects and tasks may be assigned as necessary. Under the general direction of the City Clerk, the receptionist provides daily assistance to operations in City Hall by answering and directing calls and inquiries. The receptionist also provides support to Administration, Development Services, Parks & Recreation, and Public Works as needed. Part-time GCC Facility Assistants- During school year, hours are a few weekdays from 3:30-5:30pm or as needed. Greeting/assisting people entering the GCC. Routine cleaning of rooms (trash, vacuum, dust) and helping set up tables/chairs for evening or weekend activities. Must be responsible and dependable and have ability to work on your own.  Wage starts at $8.50-$9.25/hr.

Part-time Seasonal Program Assistants-
Summer- Assist Program Supervisors in setting up, organizing the program, supervising groups of kids, cleaning up when done. Bam Bam Tball (May/June/July), Tiny Kickers Soccer (June/July), Tiny Adventures (June-August), Summer Adventures (June-August), and various other camps.
Fall/Winter- Assist Program Supervisor in setting up/cleaning up from sports/programs, keeping score, etc for Youth Flag Football (Aug-Oct), Youth Volleyball (Sept-Oct), Youth Basketball (Dec/Jan), Adult Indoor Volleyball (Nov/Dec), Adult Men's Basketball (Jan-March). Assistants can be hired seasonally per program. Wage starts at $8.50-$9/hr.

Adult or Youth Program Supervisors- Looking for adults who can set-up and close-up after the programs.  Adult programming is on Wednesdays from 6-9pm (Includes CoEd VBall from Nov-Dec and Men's Basketball from Jan-March).  Pay is $15/hr.  Youth programming includes Saturday morning and afternoon basketball in December and January.  Ages 4-5 Basketball on Sunday afternoons from 3-6pm in January-February.  Pay is $12/hr.

Part-time GCC Facility Supervisor-
