Southeast Jacob Street

S James St & SE 11th ST Improvem
  • This project will include the extension of SE 11th St from the railroad to a newly constructed roundabout intersection connection to S James St and reconstruction of S James St from SE 11th St to SE 6th St. The project is the first step in improving traffic flows along the James St corridor.
  • Project updates
Phase 1A Water System ImprovementsThe four projects are the SE 19th St Tower Interconnect, NW County Line Road Watermain, Water Treatment Plant to N James St Water Feeder Main, and a new 2.0 MG Water Treatment Plant Ground Storage Reservoir. These projects will strengthen the water distribution system and reinforce the finished water storage capacity to accommodate the current and future growth of the city.
Southeast Trail Ridge Road

Traffic Signal Network Communication Project

This project will connect traffic signals through fiber and operating system so they are timed in a way that allows for a better flow of traffic on major corridors. The communication and detection portion of the project has started and the project is estimated to be complete in 2023. Implementation of the signal management system to follow.

Trail Improvements
  • Shawver Park is getting a trail extension through the park to connect residents to the playground and to the Meadowlark neighborhood trail.
  • NW 27th St is getting a trail extension to provide a pedestrian connection to Willow Hills and the Willow Hills North subdivisions. This is located at NW 27th St and NW Beechwood St.

Upcoming Projects

NE Destination Dr and NE Beaverbrooke Boulevard Improvements

The project extends NE Destination Dr from the current north terminus to NE Beaverbrooke Boulevard and NE 18th St, along with access improvements along Highway 141. The project will include the extension of NE Destination Dr from Menard's to the southern property line of the Fagen Development. It will also include the design of northbound right and left turn lanes and southbound dual left turn lanes along Highway 141 at the intersection with NE Beaverbrooke Boulevard as well as signal improvements and connection of NE Beaverbrooke Boulevard to Highway 141.
