The City of Grimes’ Information Technology Department (IT) provides internal IT support and serves the City’s employees with technical assistance to ensure that residents receive the best customer experience. This department consists of the IT Director and IT Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to City staff
  • Inform, educate, and empower employees with technical knowledge
  • Research, install, and maintain innovative computer and telephone solutions
  • Implement user-friendly software systems
  • Tracks and accounts for all hardware and software maintenance
  • Consult on technology issues for the City with hardware and software vendors
